arts Rutherglen 'Sculpture Trail'

arts Rutherglen is issuing a challenge to creative folk in Indigo Shire to make affordable art from everyday objects.

They're seeking sculptures for a 'Sculpture Trail' to be displayed in situ at various wineries and businesses from 4 - 19 October which includes the "Faces of Rutherglen" Weekend.

The sculptures are to be made from "found objects" - recycled materials - and must be "stand alone", self supporting structures.
The items will be for sale and potential artists are encouraged to submit lots of imaginative pieces.

The Awards are being held in Rutherglen this year and involve olive growers from all over Australia submitting olive products for assessment by accredited judges in categories of Extra Virgin Olive Oils, Table Olives and Tapenades.
