Our Cellar Door sits in a unique position overlooking Lake Moodemere where you can take in the spectacular view of the brilliant sparkling water while enjoying our rich Rutherglen wines.          

It is in an excellent position to indulge in a relaxed lunch for two or with a group of friends.  Allow us arrange a Gourmet Hamper for you (with 24hrs notice) or you can bring your own picnic.   For those who like a traditional bbq we have facilities under a covered rotunda.

Award winning wines -

Sixth generation winemaker Michael Chambers and his wife Belinda opened their cellar door in March 1996 making Estate wine with fruit picked from the Lakeside vineyard, which was first established in 1886.  Since then Michael has worked carefully to produce a range of quality table wines and has been seeing the rewards for his hard work for some time winning numerous medals. 

The Home of Late Harvest Biancone -

Biancone, in Italian, may mean ‘big white’ but at Lake Moodemere Vineyards it means ‘a beautifully refreshing yet decadent wine’. 

This variety of grape, which originates from northern Italy, was planted in our vineyard 40 years ago, but little did they know how popular Biancone would become.  Lake Moodemere Vineyards Late Harvest Biancone is light in weight but rich in flavour and is a perfect accompaniment to a light dessert – poached peaches or pears, fresh fruit, a cheese and fruit platter – or it can be enjoyed with a light lunch, curries or Thai food.

For something special, try it with breakfast!  The sweet, luscious flavour and clean, crisp finish makes it an ideal match for bacon and eggs, French toast with maple syrup and fresh fruit salad.

Each year the number of customers joining the 'Biancone Lovers Club' increases and when you visit the cellar door the staff are only too happy to welcome you into this informal club and discuss the "Legend of Biancone".
