Welcome to Rutherglen Victoria - Victorias Premier Wine Region

Happy New Year from Rutherglen

The new year is here and what better way to kick off 2012 than with a Rutherglen road trip. The hustle and bustle of the Chrismas break is now behind us, and with fewer crowds the region is yours to explore at your own pace. A chauffer driven winery tour is a great way to see the region, or perhaps a long lazy lunch at one of many great restaurants is the order of the day. Seeking something a little more active? Glorious sun filled days make our regions famed golf courses hard to resist, cycle the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail or take a swim or drop the kayak in the might Murray River. Our accommodation specials page has recently been updated, so start planning your Rutherglen escape now.

On the event front we now turn our attention to the iconic Tastes of Rutherglen festival in mid March. Over two glorious weekends the wineries and premier restaurants in our region come together to offer perfect food and wine pairings, unforgettable dinners and all manner of epicurean activities, all designed to showcase our local produce. The festival brochure is now available and can be downloaded from the events page of our website.

Saturday March 17 sees the popular A Day On The Green concert return to All Saints Estate in nearby Wahgunyah. A stellar line-up of Aussie Rock will keep the thousands strong crowd happy, with the likes of Noiseworks, Ian Moss, Ross Wilson, Daryl Braithwaite and The Choirboys serving up hit after hit well into the evening. Tickets and accommodation are selling very quickly so be sure to act quick - see here for more details.

We look forward to welcoming you to Rutherglen soon.
